@Ferrari3 @BorgMind00 Then the question becomes, who are you most likely to play the game with. I have both, but will probably play on the Xbox One. Most people I play with will be there and I have to admit, I felt a little weird at first playing the PS4 Beta, it being a Bungie game and all. Maybe it was guilt.

@Ferrari3 The one that all your friends are playing on. The final release of both will run at 1080p @ 30 fps

@cejay0813 @tom2750 @mike300zxt While the comparison videos aren't showing the how the game truly looks, they are flattened for both versions so any visual detail or lack there of is also flattened. This mean it will still capture most of the differences if both videos are encoded with the same codecs and quality settings. I don't think that the point of these videos is to show the exact difference but rather to show if there is a difference at all. For instance, if both games were running native 1080p, even if the comparison was done at 720p, the viewer should see no difference because the loss in quality should also be equal for both. With that said, if one version is running at 1080p and the other at 900p then encoded to a 720p video, the loss due to degradation should be equal in both resulting in the 1080p game looking better than the 900p game regardless of the final output.

@tom2750 @cejay0813 @mike300zxt It doesn't matter. The final release of both will be 1080p @ 30fps

@Dannystaples14 @tom2750 Yes, they already said they have the Xbox One version running at 1080p internally. They have even showed video and explained that the Beta code was locked and ready to go before they made the necessary changes to bring the Xbox One version to 1080p

@dribblesbarbax @Dannystaples14 I've been playing both betas and honestly, it's hard to tell the difference between the two, especially when on missions due to the constant motion and action. Bungie's decision to up the resolution of the Xbox One version was done to be fair and because the system is capable to if they did deliver a 900p final version (which they won't as they already have it running at 1080p native), we wouldn't be missing much at all

Identical in most aspects. Obviously the PC wins in every department. The Xbox One and PS4 each beat out the other in some shots. PC stands at the top (not that it needs to be said), Xbox One and PS4 - Draw

@skrewler Agreed but assuming the compression used was the same across the board then the degradation should also be uniform making the comparison valid. Yes, watching a comparison straight from the source is always best but if the point is to show which version of a game is graphically superior, this method still works.

@Born_Lucky You can't change the hardware, what you can do is offload some calculation to the remote computer instead of doing it locally

If Nintendo plays their cards right, they can actually survive this console generation and live to fight another day. The Wii U still isn't winning any awards but it can still be profitable.
