Excellent game and I’m totally not surprised to see it coming to PC. I am surprised with how soon that it’s coming to PC especially from the time that they announced it, now, to the time of its release, Nov. 5th of this year. I thought that it would probably be a next year launch.
Though I don't think my 1070 will cut it for this one, even at 1080.
It should do. My old GTX 1070 could run games like Assassins Creed Odyssey at 1080 60 with most of the settings at very high and that game has a bigger active world that RDR2. You may not be able to max it out perhaps, but it will look as god as the console versions and run much better.
Digital Foundry covered RDR2 on consoles extensively, pretty sure they'll cover this one on PC.
"The first game in the Red Dead Redemption series to be featured on the PC platform, Red Dead Redemption 2 for PC features a range of graphical and technical enhancements for increased immersion....."
Heck yeah, 60 fps minimum baby. Which means first person mode will be fantastic!!
Wonder how it will run on i7 8700, RTX 2080 and 16GB, my guess is bloody great.
Shut up and take my money!
Quite a few of the latest games are struggling on console, but check the Xbox and PlayStation forums and you won't notice many performance complaints.
My conclusion. Most console only gamer's either don't care or don't even know what frame rate means!
Sorry, I don't get it. I
own consoles and a High end gaming rig, Unless you're into competitive online fps games, why can't you chill with a controller on PC? I mean after all I play nearly all my single player games with a controller.
My happiest arcade memories were from an Arcade we had next to our Caravan park in North Wales. My favourite machine there was Double Dragon. That must have been in the late 80's, early 90's.
Also loved Outrun, Super-hang-on, After-Burner and especially Operation Wolf.
