Before I say anything, I don't have a new console.

My system was fixed recently and my console can't use all my bought and paid for content outside of Live. I have called XBOX support and did everything they told me. Still, my content can't be accessed outside of Live.

Also, I don't know if this is important, but when my console came back, I forgot that my profile was in my Memory Card and erased it after downloading it from Live. Would this cause problems?

Someone suggested I use the Licence Migration Wizard to make my console accept my stuff again. Should I do this?

In the TV announcements so far, air reception, the kind you pick up via rabbit-ears, will be gone.

My guess, it's old tech and not many support it anymore.

However, expecting everyone to switch to another reception on one day is not smart. If they had told us over time, like since 2006, according to an editor of PC Mag, this kind of thing wouldn't be happening.

In summer of 2009, we will officially lose air reception. (The date escapes me.)

What are your thoughts?

Personally, it won't go over well, just announcing it and expecting people to notice, but I don't watch too many channels, so I won't miss much. All my favorite stuff is on DVD anyway.

I've tried it some, and it is really impressive and very unique.

numerous things.

First of all, remember the Dreamcast? Remember that tiny self-contained memory unit that was also a game, the Visual Memory Unit? I loved that device. Granted, they have followed in the Unit's footsteps by changing some of the game code for Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 for the Chao Garden, but the VMU is still a relic that deserves to be remade.

Next, making us guess about Shenmue III. I finally found the second game and while old in many ways, it is still the game I remember from the Dreamcast, just larger. The game is coming, but from the dark. You cannot rush revenge.

Lastly, keeping the original Sonic alive with the GBA/DS titles. I love the 3D games, despite the bad rep. Most of it, I believe, comes from a lacking area in the story department, and even more so from the seeming lack of drive to flesh out the characters when their parts are translated into English. However, the Japanese approach good and evil much more openly than we do. I.E., they use weaker words than we do when storytelling. It's why characters like Sonic/Robotnik are perceived weaker as enemies than they really are. The dialogue doesn't change much after a trip overseas.

So, let's cross our fingers and see what Bioware/Sonic Team have in store for us later this year. My support is behind Sonic Team because if they can make a game like Sonic Adventure, the original of which is rated as a 9.1 on this site, I have no doubt they can do it again.

This is concerning the XBOX360 Hard Drive.

I've seen them advertised for 59.99 refurbished, and I want to play The Shivering Isles expansion for Oblivion badly.

So I ask, should I buy new or used? I'm personally thinking of new since Best Buy still carries them in 20GB.

The 360 is a great system. I owned a Wii for a few months before I got mine, but ever since, I love playing it.

My recommendation is if you want to go on-line for just demos and the like with your system, get the Arcade version and buy the hard drive later if you want to really play on-line.

As for accessories, if you have broadband in the house, just buy a CAT5 (Ethernet) cable and use that. The headsets are useless unless you go online with them. If you are puting the 360 on carpet, buy a stand of some kind. The newer ones do not overheat as easily, but best to be safe.

Lastly, games. Here are my recommendations:

Dead Rising

Saint's Row

TES IV - Black Box

Dynasty Warriors 6 - At last, time for a swim and evading dogs.

Test Drive Unlimited - A must for car lovers.

Burnout Paradise - I love wrecking rides.

There you are. Enjoy.

Maybe, but I still play games even when they go as low as five out of ten. Control or something is often a factor in these games, but I still find them entertaining for my own reasons.
