GTA1 and 2 can be downloaded free off of Rockstars site for those interested. You just have to fill out a form to do them. If you haven't played them they were pretty tough because the top down perspective limited how far you could see in front of you making hard as hell to make turns and avoid oncoming traffic. They did however lay the groundwork for the 3D games as they premise is still basically the same. Oh and yeah thats why they don't have those things huh? when one speaks its always best to be sure you know what your talking about. Both Vice City and San Andreas came out post 9/11 and had those things so your theory on why some things are absent in this one is clearly wrong. I am not sure why they didn't put they stuff in myself, maybe just to move away from some of the old conventions. Or maybe because they didn't want to put a military base in the middle of what is basically NYC.
I could hav e gotten either. I choose the 360 because I hate using a mouse and keyboard for most games. Though had I known thast this on included controller support I might have gotten the $10 cheaper PC one. At any rate I actually like playing my games in a chair closer to the screen even on a console. That has always been a weak argument though because it is matter of choice rather than a reality. I have a 22 in monitor I could just as well use a wireless keyboard and mouse and sit far away but I don't want to on either platform. Ata ny rate I'm sure their both fine and graphically aren't hugely different.
Hard to judge it. It was non-hardware year which have always been less exciting and this time was no different.It seemed ok, but I think if I had a choice between the old or the new I would choose to go back tot he old with a few changes like for instance like suggested, perhpas the first day or two should be for industry only and then have a day for the public.

Yeah, I will care more about the system when it gets better games. Unfortunately for Sony my definition of that means they need some new IP's since for the most part the ones that have been on the PS since the first one are dead to me and burnt because they have churning them out for 10 years now. Thats why right now I find the 360, the Wii and even my PC (which cost more than 6 times as much) to be far more interesting than the PS3. I still feel that I will get one at some point, but as right now with what is on it and what I know of right now nothing really is looking too interesting. I guess the good news is the PS3 is easy to find now since sales in the post holiday season have dropped like a brick.
Most anticipated: Spore, Supreme Commander, Command and Conquer 3, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Mass Effect, Assassin's Creed, Super Mario Galaxy, Halo 3 and maybe a few others I can't remember. Least anticipated : Metal Gear Solid 4, Final Fantasy XIII, Devil May Cry 4
