The PS3 is ancient technology if you have a good gaming PC.

@roganth It's not that I accept poor service. I think anticipating launch-day server load and tweaking the hardware/software accordingly is something that's difficult even with a major stress test just prior to launch. It's something that they can only grapple with first-hand once the barrage of launch week customers come in.

Chill folks. Server issues and downtime are quite common at the beginning for many online games, especially ones as high profile as Diablo III. I fully expected this would happen, and I'm very sure all these issues will be sorted out in time.

Good interview. The guy was quite diplomatic, which is a welcome change from other high profile industry figures who feel they need to rip on each other to succeed. Looking forward to Diablo III.

I have to disagree with Kevin VanOrd. Saren from ME1 and the Reapers overall make great villains. If you take the time to read every bit of lore and explore all dialog options, the Reapers are enigmatic and cast a dark shadow over the galaxy. If you immerse yourself in the Mass Effect universe, it's as if all your hopes and dreams are for naught. They're out to assimilate all technology, but perhaps even more disturbingly, consume all sentient life in order to sustain themselves/reproduce. It's especially grim when you consider that this process has repeated itself countless times over the millennia. Entire civilizations have come into existence and vanished. Their art, history, culture, aspirations...nothing remains. And no one has been able to put a stop to it. We learn that the Protheans were the first to discover what was going on and attempt to counter it. Eventually, even they realized that their attempts were futile and that they would also pass into obscurity. But in an act of nobility, they were able to leave clues for future races to discover; and it looks like humanity, through Commander Sheppard, may just be the ones to, hopefully, put a stop to this vicious cycle once and for all.
