@JimmyJimJim @simon1812 @The_Gaming_Baby If anyone could scrounge together enough money to get a lawyer good enough to beat Lucas Arts after 6 months without any pay I would be seriously impressed. Charities can get donations because they're almost always for a worthy cause, and they aren't trying to turn a profit, so people feel more inclined to give. I highly doubt a company trying to turn a profit could do the same.
@Bungus101 I think they're talking about the opening as a standalone piece of writing. if you just looked at the opening for GTAIII and GTAIV they think that you'd enjoy GTAIII more. although you do have a point, GTAIV is a better planned opening.
i get the feeling that the 3DS will do well regardless of the price, just as long as it works well. if it has a long battery life then the price hopefully won't matter hugely. the thought process that will go through most peoples head's is gonna go a little bit like this: "ooh, a new DS, ouch, it costs $250, i wonder what the 3 stands for...3D!!!!!!!!!!!! AWESOME!!! BUYBUYBUYBUYBUYBUY!!!!" that if the psp2 doesn't get announced soon. and knowing sony it'll be 3D. as long as they sort out all the problems that the psp has (long load times, midget battery life and only 1 analogue slider, which just doesn't make sense) it'll be amazing and could become a serious headache for nintendo.
I strongly agree with all the people that say that 3D in gaming won't catch on until the technology becomes mainstream, which probably won't happen until some serious investment is put into glasses free tv's. but once the technology is mainstream, i reckon most publishers will want their games to be in 3D, especially if a gaming equivalent of avatar gets made, once that happens, i think games will follow a similar pattern to that of the film industry...
