I play guitar. Kind of. I have a terrible guitar that costed ~50 dollars which I use to practice and play songs, and I'm considering picking up a real guitar.

I've heard and played my friend's Fender and I was thinking about getting one too. Should I pick this up?

For some reason it says page not responding, I'll try to look at it later.

I've got a Falcon Stratocaster, first electric guitar but the bridge pickup is dying, a Hofner acoustic which was my first guitar ever and I love it to bits. My main axe is my Epiphone Black Beauty, with EMGs in the bridge and neck but the middle humbucker is left golden. It's a very nice touch I might add.

I run it through a Zakk Wylde Wah (I got before I knew who the guy was), a Digitech Whammy pedal that absolutely awesome. I used to have a Boss MT2 Metal Zone pedal that I hated, so traded for a POD2.

I mainly use my POD2 that I got dirt cheap at a guitar shop that shut down becuase the building was unstable, but when I want to turn the volume up I use my Vox AD30VT. All distortion is Marshall based with a classic rock bite, plenty of bottom end (hurr) and a touch of delay.

I assume the EMGs are passive since you left the stock one in the middle? How do they sound? You know if they are the same ones that come on the Zakk Wylde edition Epi Les Paul?

Nah these are EMG Actives, 81 and 85, the middle pickup is left in but just for show as it's not connected to anything. They sound a lot crunchier then expected but are still very meaty. A lot of people don't like the cleans on them but I do, great rounded blues tone.

Next guitar I get I want to have something like that in it, the strat sounds good under distortion but allot of things effect it I need something with some humbucking pickups in it.

I used to play but got tired of it because it wasn't what I had come to expect from an instrument. I'm going to be going back to piano if I get the chance.foxhound_fox

A few people in my family play piano, thats one I'd like to learn more about.

I love playing the Guitar Hero II and II games, Rock Band also. I was just wondering if there was anyone who played real guitar? If so what kind of guitar/rig do you have set up? I started with a Fender Acoustic a little while ago and eventually got a Fender Strat, Made in Mexico model LE run with TEX MEX pickups. Im real impressed for how it sounds being far from their top model. I only play through a Marshall 30DFX for the time being, no extra money to blow on it right now. For pedals I just use a Boss Mega Distortion and a Dimebag edition Dunlop Wah.

I feel like we need a support group or something.

People look at me like I pulled out some GI Joes or something when I pull out my ds in public.

jrhawk42

That's one of the funniest things I've ever herd, really. I'm 23 and play Mario from time to time, there is a lack of titles that I like on the DS though.

Games to buy my daughter? She turns 3 in April, loves to play Nintendogs and Pony and Friends, shes real good about remembering how to go through menus and stuff like that, plays Mario but a little young for the platforming type stuff. Any suggestions? One more problem is the mic on the DS has stopped working, we can work around that in allot of games but ones like the Nintendogs where they force you to name they dog, you just cant get passed it.
