Which forums can you not post in? Are you talking about the game-specific forums, or other GameSpot boards?
The only thing I can see is that you have one moderation for a post on the game boards. Since GameFAQs permissions are involved there, it gave you negative karma, which would be what is keeping you from posting there.
This is in fact a long-standing bug, but our developers have been actively working on it and we hope to put out a fix soon. I'll update this thread when that happens.
I will be very glad when this bug finally dies. :P
Yeah. They're still actively trying to reproduce the problem, but I think I'll go ahead and desticky this since some of the more glaring issues were already taken care of. Options to vote multiple times are annoying, but the votes are being saved at least. I'll bump this when I get any new info.
This bug should be fixed. Are you still unable to save text in "About My Games"? If so, are you getting any error messages? (If you are, a screenshot would help.)
