@doonish: The big ones were that you could use overdrive twice with just one activation point on drums, and that on a song with more than one solo (on any instrument), pausing the game right at the end of the solo would make the second solo give you the same amount of points as the first one even if it was supposed to be worth a lot less.

@usernameonetwo: Not piracy of the game exactly. The multitrack audio stems for all the songs are encrypted - Rock Band 3's encryption was never broken, for example, but if the game was released on PC it would be 10x easier for people to figure out how. Music companies do not want to let that happen, and Harmonix don't want to risk getting in deep legal shit because of it.

@PETERAKO @BearzUnlimited I'm pretty sure they've learned their lesson from SimCity. They've already announced that The Sims 4 will not have any always-online DRM and will be a singleplayer experience.

Stop sensationalizing the **** out of this statement. He didn't say that all the games would only be playable with always-online DRM, or multiplayer-only with no singleplayer option. He simply meant that all EA games would have some sort of online integration, such as statistic/achievement tracking.

They never said, "always-online DRM," chucklefucks. This simply means that even in a single player experience they may include online features such as stat tracking. They've already stated that Sims 4 will be fully playable offline and WILL NOT have SimCity-style DRM. As always, people are sensationalizing the **** out of things.

Still, this does worry me somewhat about a half-assed online mode in Mirror's Edge 2. Though, Dice are a talented bunch of people and could probably pull it off well if they had to.

@gilldominic In Forza, it's not really like that. You can start getting high performance cars pretty early, and you get a free gift car every time you level up. The events are based around the different car types, though. For example, Class F tournaments, V12 supercar events, muscle car races, LMP race car championships, and such. It's not like you get some supercar in the beginning of the game and then easily complete all the compact car races.

@Sublime408 @THUGWOMAN332 Because obviously anyone who says anything that's even remotely positive about the Xbox One MUST be paid by Microsoft... right?

@Gle4se @BearzUnlimited Actually, Black Ops II had several mechanics changes in both the singleplayer and multiplayer. I am well aware of the changes made in Battlefield 4, and I enjoy BF as well.

I'm not a CoD fanboy at all. Modern Warfare 3 was a steaming pile of shit that was barely changed from MW2. I'm not buying CoD: Ghosts. You seem to have Treyarch and Infinity Ward confused. Infinity Ward was the one who said that, meanwhile Treyarch is actually trying to bring new things to the series (which are almost always left out in the next game by IW).

I hope they actually improve this time. The first Dead Island was a good game, but it had many flaws, none of which were fixed in Riptide.

The "returning" maps from Black Ops and World at War are not a simple, recycled, copy-and-paste job. They have an entirely new setting, but a similar layout to the original maps because players enjoyed them. That said, $15 is still too steep an asking price for a map pack, but people are really too quick to jump on the CoD hate bandwagon.
