Avoid Cross Edge like the plague. I hear Last Rebellion and Enchanted Arms are on the same level of awful so steer clear of those too. Definitely go for Final Fantasy IX and Folklore, easily the best of the bunch. Between Star Ocean 4 and Eternal Sonata, I'd go with saving your money.

Are you Daft? Demon Souls is one of the hardest RPG games I've ever played. When I say hard, I don't mean impossible. The game is very trying. You basically have to remember that a demon is going to be around this or that corner constantly or you'll be replaying that level a hundred times. Certain boss battles can be ridiculously hard if you don't have a teammate or you haven't completely mastered dodging and defending.

Bottom line, it is a difficult game with a good sized learning curve.
