I don't know where the issue is, but it's either with playfire or Fuse, because I've given both the link to my steam profile, which is public anyway, and neither of them seem to recognize that I've linked to my steam profile. It hasn't worked since I registered over a year ago, so I'm inclined to say the achievement system with regards to steam is just broken and always has been.

I'd be happy to help! If you've already checked Skyrim and Oblivion, I can't advise much in the way of Western RPGs, and I'm fresh out of ideas for modern RPGs too. If you don't mind some older JRPGs, I can think of two:
Radiata Stories for PS2: Funny, easy to pick up and play, lots of content; Very underrated Square game.
Skies of Arcadia Legends for GCN: My favorite game of all time, bar none. Check my user page for an in-depth review.
I'm on the lookout for new games myself, so unfortunately I can't be much more helpful than that. You could check my ratings and reviews for ideas.
Take it from an experienced chess player: It's one thing to know how to move the pieces, and another to know how to play chess. You have to learn the basic principles to succeed at a higher level. Gain control of the center, castle ASAP, and so on.
This reminds me of Super Xbox Party Melee from the 2004 Game Infarcer. When a concept is listed in a reputable gaming magazine's annual self-parody, that's a sign that it only works as a joke.
JodyR: GameFAQs users wouldn't recognize an intelligent argument if it was given in a Stephen Hawking lecture. I came to Gamespot in the first place because the GameFAQs mods were dumb, so now I don't have to put up with them anymore. With a single exception, I find Gamespot mods to be altogether more intelligent, helpful, and reasonable.
Well of course it is. WoW has been out for what, 7 years now? In that time, a bunch of people have either become tired of playing or stopped playing somewhere along the line. I started playing right after Lich King came out and stopped about a year later because I was bored. With all the new changes they've made since then, there's no way in hell I would even consider going back. WoW has generated billions of dollars for Blizzard, and it was a successful MMO, but now people are ready for something new. It's that easy.
