I've read standing it vertically may cause problems...MastaMule
Not at all. I used to have my PS3 on a shelf in my tv stand, and it would get much louder than my 360. Now I have it vertical beside my tv and it's very quiet.

OK people, I retract my previous statement about bigger being better (atleast for DLP's). I took my tv back b/c of it's horrid SSE (silk screen effect). That's the textured screen most rear-projection makers use to help out with viewing angles. Anyway, long story short, I now have a 50" Panasonic plasma. All I can say is OMG!!! I thought i'd regret the downsize, but the picture quality more than makes up for it. Oh yeah, it's image retention, not burn-in. I've been playing games on my tv for hours at a time and there's not a hint of IR. I can't speak for other brands, but Panasonic sure makes beautiful plasmas that seem immune to IR let alone burn-in. I can't praise this tv enough for all it's given me thus far. I have alot of friends with lcd's and let's just say they now have buyers remorse. So for all you plasma haters, get off the ignorant band wagon.
