What happened to "but digital sales went way up"? Not that far up it seems.

Interesting though that they've tried something new, the critics liked it but the game still sold worse than usual. So if they had released the same exact crap for the hundredth time it would have sold well again. Looks like Modern Warfare 4 is coming.

@JustinGoSka: Hook your computer up to an old school tv then. Though I can't say I've ever heard anyone prefer old tvs over computer monitors, especially the NTSC ones Americans had. Man, those were horrible.

@JustinGoSka: No they don't. I've played SNES games on a shitty PC back in the 90s and they already had perfect emulation back then. Exceptions always exist but most games run just as well on an emu and the same goes for more modern ones, which of course are a bit more difficult to emulate than a SNES. A toaster could emulate that thing.

@suicidesn0wman: I've got the Dolphin emu when Xenoblade Chronicles came out and it was running pretty well on it. Played through the whole game without any real issues, even though my laptop wasn't the fastest. And that was a few years ago. Should be improved even more by now.

The only GC game that seemed to have real issues was MGS but I've been able to play through it as well some time ago.

@suicidesn0wman: Like I said, if a kid can do it everyone can. Yes, people are lazy and would rather pay big money for something they could have for free, or because it's trendy. But that doesn't change the fact that getting an emulator running is the easiest thing you can do. Going out to a store to buy the mini NES or anything similar would take more time and effort than spending the few minutes to download an emu and getting it to work.

But no big deal, after all if people weren't so damn lazy we wouldn't be able to sell them any crap someone can come up with. Emus have been around since forever, I've been playing SNES games on my PC in the 90s, yet now all these "retro consoles" are coming out, which are nothing more than some cheap hardware running an emulator and people still buy it.

@suicidesn0wman: Yeah, that applies to some emus but finding a bios for them is just as easy as finding the emu itself or the games for it. Or just download some packaged emu that already contains different bioses to choose from.

This is no rocket science, there's not much you can do wrong when it comes to that. The only ones where you'd actually have to mess with some settings are the more recent ones like those for the Wii or PS2, the more technically demanding ones running 3d games.

"Seeing is believing". Oh, I do believe that the current VR headsets are nice and all, but I don't believe that they're worth the money. With the current games even if it cost only a hundred bucks it would still be just some gadget. You try it out for a bit and then get bored and forget all about it.

@beantownsean: Now that's a bunch of bullshit. There's hardly anything easier to do than downloading an emulator with any games you want for it. There's are tons of sites around for that and they don't usually require much or any setting up at all most of the time either.

If a kid can download an emulator to play pokemon games for it, everyone can. The only ones too stupid for that are those who think they are.

What's the point? Why pay up to 300 bucks for something like this when everyone has a computer who's more than capable to run all these age old games at higher resolutions and with improved graphics? Even if I did own physical copies of these games it would still be more convenient to just download the roms and leave the collection to gather more dust in the basement.

Expressing myself? I want to get to make meaningful choices like in Witcher 3, not to express myself different without it having any effect whatsoever like in DA3. That's the biggest problem with DA3's dialogue system: you can make yourself sound like an ass, like a good guy or be sarcastic, but most of the time it changes absolutely nothing other than a phrase or two of the npc's dialogue. Looks like they haven't learned much from W3 and decided to stick with the same formula they used for DA3.

Even the Paragon system was better than that because you actually had a choice, good or bad. I really hope it will turn out better than it sounds, but since they put the focus on "expressing yourself" instead of giving you choices I'm having my doubts.
