@Thisguywhokills: Why would I pay $60 for a game if I could pay half for it just a few months later? Or less than $60 with all dlcs included a year later? You're not making any sense.
@RSM-HQ: Yeah, Platinum and From were the highlights during last gen, Vanillaware releases way too few games to be noteworthy though. But they main problem is the complete lack of JRPGs, which has always been the Japanese' domain. Even Persona 5 has been delayed until now even though it was announced early in the PS3 cycle, which we all now was extremely long.
Aside from that there was FF13, which I personally liked back then, and its rather bad sequels. And the yearly Tales Of sequels. Even Dark Souls was overdone thanks to Namco. So yeah, not much new and creative stuff coming from Japan since then, especially not from Capcom.
@Marky360: Is that the Dark Souls clone they were working on? Probably got cancelled cause Capcom realised they're no longer able to create new games without completely copying others.
Alright, any other games Capcom has not remastered yet? Let them know to make sure they forget none!
Man, thinking back to the PS2 and early PS3 era Capcom was actually releasing good games back then. The Japanese game industry sure went downhill during last gen.
@nl_skipper: I'd be interested as well, especially since I tried playing the original Deus Ex a few times now but could never get into it cause it's such a pain in the ass to play and watch the characters blabber on in the most monotonous voice imaginable. Luckily the new games have improved that and have made it actually playable.
Can't really say I know any other games with a similar setting.
@Jdzspace: Yeah, I don't know if the dlc trend wouldn't have happened in the same way without them but I guess they did play a role in getting more pc games released for consoles, and with that bring the trend of releasing unfinished games as well.
Why don't all games come out on PS4 a bit later but with all dlc and extra stuff included? I sure wouldn't mind.
It might even feel like back before there was dlc, when games were released finished and only sometimes got a big expansion that was worth the money. Anyone remember those times?
