@dushness: 4, 5 and Peace Walker. Maybe the other PSP games as well. What else is left that isn't considered a spin off?

And yet the GC version of MGS1 is still not included. Why is Konami acting as if that game never happened? It has the same story, with the addition of some ridiculous cutscenes of Snake doing pirouettes and stuff, but gameplay and graphics wise it's on par with MGS2. While the original is barely playable at this point. I would not want to play the PSX version ever again as it plays nothing like the later games. No way to take out enemies non lethally either. You can only knock them out for a few seconds.

So the middleman is unhappy about EA avoiding them and directly dealing with the players. Offering them a shitty deal, sure, but it's ultimately their choice. And the way it looks to me, if that group wants to sue someone it should be suing the players who they supposedly have a deal with. But I guess it's more likely that the group has an agreement with the teams instead, who'd like to profit from their players and don't care much about what those players might get out of it.

@cantor2537: Not sure what you disagree with. You've basically the said the same thing as I did: These services are for people who will play whatever. If you cared more about what you're spending your time on you would actively seek out the things that are worth your time. And in the case of videogames buy them when they go on sale. Most games I'd be interested in that end up on PS+ I already own. Not surprising since it doesn't make sense to offer them for a handful of bucks per month when you can still sell the game for $30 or more.

But if you're talking about buying games at full price, only morons do that. I've done it few times over the past years and have come to regret it pretty much every time. All you need to do is wait a few months or half a year or so and you can get most games at half price or less. Not to mention if you wait a year or more you can buy the complete game with all dlc and updates included, for a fraction of the original price. So yeah, buying games at launch at full price is always a rip off and you only have yourself to blame if you do it. Otherwise you can buy anything you want during sales, if you actually know what you want. For folks who don't the buffet that subscription services provide might seem like a good option.

That's strange. Didn't they talk a while ago about how they're planning to keep releasing all their games for last gen consoles as well for years to come? Guess they suddenly changed their mind now that the console shortage is over. All that nonsense about providing people with maximum options to play their games went out the window pretty quickly. Big surprise.

@jenovaschilld: You could have bought those 3 games for less than $75 combined by now. With all dlcs included, which is never the case on PS+. And if you really cared about them then you'd probably have bought them at some point while they were on sale. These subscription services are mainly for people who'll play whatever, as long as it's free or cheap. For anyone else who decides consciously what is worth playing, they'd subscribe to a such a service when there is something on it worth playing. Then unsubscribe again. Why throw money away paying for a year if you're not gonna use that service for most of that time anyway. But if you're fine with playing whatever, then I guess there's always something available for you.

@spaghettiyolo: It's something that only a company like MS with billions to burn can do. They're literally flushing billions of $ down the toilet, only to help establish their subscription service and maybe gain a foothold over Sony. Which obviously isn't working out but it's not like it matters to them. As long as Windows keeps generating them dozens of billions in profit each year, they can keep throwing money around without needing any good incentive to do so. No other company behaves in such a way and no one else can afford to do so.

And yet the kids here complain about Sony's offering not being good enough. When Sony is still offering them new games at times for free. And games that still cost way more than the $15 or so that you have to charge for the premium options. But it's just not good enough when there's another company giving away games that they otherwise charge $70 or 80€ for for only a handful of bucks per month. And never would they think that it's only a marketing tactic and not supposed to be profitable in any way. Not until they start massively ramping up the price. It's as if basic math is no longer being taught in schools.

Why is there a hardcore mode anyway in games that requires a constant internet connection? Of course stuff like that would happen and it turns the "hardcore" part into pure gambling. Since no matter how good your connection might be, the server can still **** you over at any time.

Wow, progress. Maybe in another decade they'll even place the sprint button somewhere other than the face buttons so that you can actually spring and move the camera around at the same time. Though it might take them longer than that to implement such a groundbreaking change.
