NHL 12 trailer was showing off new features. NHL 13 trailer is showing off... comments! lolPlus, most of the trailer's content could be done with NHL 12. Seriously... i don't want to spend 60 bucks and have the feeling of playing NHL 12 again. Plus, the lockout probability will not favor this game --> there won't be trades really that justify being up-to-date constantly. Trades are not worth 60 bucks. I think NHL 13 will be one of those year that not a lot of people will care about. "But what about the new skating system!!!" What new skating system? That trailer doesn't want to talk about it either, so why would I care??

peyo670: That's exactly the point. No games to take advantage of those Very high-end cards. There would be too few players :P. When games will come out, you'll see your card or an equivalent drop by 50-60% of the price...

I thinks this review is ridiculous and don't have any common sense. Price range of all those cards are ridiculous. You don't need that GPU power anyway to run anygame. With my X1950 Pro, i can run everything at the Maximum resolution with my AMD5600 dual core and 4 gb of RAM. Reading this review let's you think that gamers need to get AT LEAST Geforce 8800 GTS SLI if you want to get a decent performance. Well this is not true. I think all those configuration named above are a waste of money for 98% of all the gamers community. Need for a directx 10 card ? Why ? No games takes advantage of it. Lost Planet you'll tell me ? There's almost no difference between DX9 and DX10 version. It will take some time before we will see a significant difference. Sorry. I just can't stand checking this "helpful review" recommending gamers to waste money on cards that won't make any difference with those at 200$ (like the 7950 or x1950). Well, that's my opinion! aren't we here for that ? :P Oh and one more thing, check out the Tom's hardware benchmarks if you want complete, decent and accurate benchmarks test with EVERY graphic cards. And those reviews are made by real technicians. Plus, they review graphic cards relatively to your budget, instead of only pure performance like GS does.

Upgrading so often should not happen. Game industry should be adapting to what most people have... and not dict what to buy. Buying a game this days can be way more than 70$... add a decent graphic card and your game would be worth 370$? Even if you tell me you can play more game with better graphic, it's not worth it. Calm down, developpers. I've upgraded last year, if your game is so demanding... well... i won't play... with no regrets. Other good (and better) games are coming anyway.

Xp is the best OS right now. Stable, compatible with everything, nice securities (SP2)... i don't see the point in switching to Vista. Vista got the eye-candy stuff, XP got the rest.... for now.

Why upgrade to Vista ? Windows XP does everything i need. Plus, i have a Vista Theme on my Windows XP... nothing better than a Windows that won't crash or be unstable at any moment. I trust Windows XP SP2. I don't give a damn about DX10... they dont have games that supports it! Even if you upgrade now, you won't enjoy DX10 for a BIG while. And then, you'll already be out of date since there will be new video card... result: lost of money. Also, remember that DX10 won't change anything to the gameplay. Graphics are not everything.

of course it will run fine on your pc omerdv! I think everyone is kinda satisfied with their computers. Honestly i didn't even heard a single complaints about not being able to run the game pretty well. Oh yes, the only problem I heard are those crazy guys with SLI 7900 GTX not being able to run the game smoothly. They need to patch hehe. :P

i've got AMD Athlon 64 4000+, ATI RAD X1900 GT, 1,5 gig ram... the game runs pretty smoothly at 1600x1200 all maxed out. No lag at all. Nice frame rate. NO NEED in upgrading in those useless crazy FX-64 or Intel Duo Core processor... or in an Ultra video card. You'll spend like 700$ for one card which will let you see the smallest animation 60 times per second instead of 35 times, for example. 700$ is worth the PS3... or this kinda thing ? Think twice before upgrading.

yes there are motherboard that accept both. I know ASUS have been doing this since 2-3 years. But of course, only one slot can be used at a time.

Mini games are for kids. I prefer graphic, control and gameplay than a game which stand on presentation and off-ice show. I want to play a hockey game, that's it. So I'll go with NHL 2007.... when the PS3 will be out, cause i don't want a 360, and other version (PC, PS2, etc...) sucks hard.
