I have never disagreed with any statement more than this in my entire life. I regret spending even $2.50 on KOTOR 2. I found the atrocious writing and plot completely offputting, without a single likable character. I reached the final level, decided I didn't care about the story at all and just shut the game off, never finishing it.

Atrocious? Really? And I suppose KOTOR 1 had amazing writing right?

You basically have two choices here.

It's worth it if you don't feel like modding the original. Also has a nice zoom feature. Unfortunately, it's still going to be a wile until all the bugs are fixed, but patches are released oftenly, and months from now wen the modding community gets a hang of it, it'll be great.

It's not worth it if you want to mod the original. You can pick up both BG1 and BG2 + all the expansions at the same price as BG: EE. You can then download Baldur's Gate Trilogy which enhances the original greatly and makes both one huge continuous game. Then you can add BG1 NPC project which adds a ton of well written dialogue to your companions, making them much more interesting. Thus BG1 Modded is superior to BG: EE.

I'm worried that it is on Steam. The game is for 15 year old consolized kids. All you do is sneak around stabbing the British. Beyond lame. Weak story, poor graphics for 2012, and surprisingly bad animations.

Wouldn't touch the game with a 10 foot pole.
