Nope...I dont agree at all. I like my games to come in all flavors...sandbox, linear, open, guided, ect. It's very difficult for a FPS to have a very cohesive story and a fast paced setting (which HL2 has) if the game would just allow you to meander all over the place, and take your time doing things.
I hope game developers keep doing what they are already doing...which is making games the way they want to. There are sooo many choices in the types of games we play...why have them all the same?
