Here's the sad thing about BF4: no matter what DICE/EA do to fix the game, no matter what effort they put into giving people what they paid for, they will be criticized. No matter how much better the game is, every article about patches, DLCs, the Community Test Environment, etc. will be filled with "fix the damn game!" or "LOL nobody plays this anymore" or "This is pathetic." Just look at this article here. The damage has been done, so the reaction will be the same. They will be hearing about this for the rest of BF4's life cycle, and I guarantee you articles on the upcoming Star Wars: Battlefront will be full of snide comments about it, as well.
Don't misunderstand me: EA/DICE deserve criticism. This game is a rushed mess. I'm merely making an observation.
"Our strategy is to do a few things and do them exceptionally well."
Let me proofread your comment, Mr. Hirshberg.
"Our strategy is to do a few things and do them exceptionally well, but continue to do them almost exactly the same for years, and run them into the ground to the point where their quality is nowhere near exceptional."
Yeah, BF4 is almost single-handedly changing my mind about buying a next-gen console. If I buy, say, an Xbox One, I'll feel dirty, but…BF4 with 64 players…
