[QUOTE="GameFan1983"]No surprising here since 99% of those retail sales are from SC2 + WOW nerds. I'm still a PC gamer, but sorry, PC gaming is dead... 3 years ago. let the dead rest in peace.

Actually only 14% of these PC game retail sales were for StarCraft 2 and World of Warcraft combined :)

PC gaming isn't dead, sorry.

Half-Life 2- Bought it at release. The farthest I could get was to create a steam account. Trashed it. Never looked back. I am probably one of the only people on Steam who has an account with no games in it.

Star Wars: Empire at war - Um, is it possible to win this game?

Any Grand Theft Auto title after 3.

EDIT - Forgot one. Morrowind - they single most boring game ever.

Drosa
Empire at war is beatable.. good game BTW, and so was its expansion. GTA 3 I didn't like at first since it diverged from GTA 1 n 2, but it was not until GTA San Andreas that I grew to love the old GTA 3 n Vice City. Morrowind is a VERY slow game... you need to be very patient, then near the end when you hit the lvl 70s it becomes really boring. Up until that though, its a good long ride. It hasn't aged well though, when it was released it was breathtaking, and caused me to just play and play and play.

[QUOTE="kris9031998"]Deus ex pack. Ive played deus ex 1 for 21 min .JackBurton

Everyone is entitled to their opinion but...

One cannot judge a 30-hour game before completing the first few "boring" missions (which in this case serve as an extended tutorial).

Would you prefer the developers throw everything at you in those first twenty minutes? :| Instant gratification much?

That tutorial on Liberty Island was not really a tutorial.. it was pretty hellish for a newbie. Much like playing System Shock 1 with everything set to normal your first time playing, go to level R n your toast with spawning hoppers. Now, Deus EX excelled in storyline differences like being able to save your brother, by sticking with him at the apartment complex fight.

Bioshock. I enjoyed the first hour or so, but could never really get into it. I would say The Force Unleashed, but I knew what I was getting.. I just wanted to play a new Star Wars game.

I recently bought Frontlines- Fuel of War for $2.99 on a Steam sale, and it's the best $3 I've ever spent on a game. It's far from perfect, but I think it's really fun.

It is a good game.. I must agree, I even beat it on all difficulty levels, which is a RARE thing for me to do. The Force Unleashes was okay.. nothing like Jedi Academy though. Bioshock I enjoyed but not as much as I would have liked.

Command And Conquer 4

A Farewell to Dragons

9th Company - Roots of Terror

Aliens Vs Predator 2010

The Bard's Tale (the new one)

"Oblivion - I gave it a shot, I really did, I wanted to love it, I searched for mods to make it more like Morrowind, it's hopeless."

I must concur here as well.

I owned a 5ms response time LCD Monitor back in 2004. It ghosted in FPS games, I kept my Viewsonic CRT for a while more because of it, until I bought the Samsung. and I don't get ANY ghosting for this current ASUS monitor.

Its 500 with the price of the 3D Vision. So around ~300 for the monitor itself.

Most people contemplating a VG236H purchase will have gaming in mind, and from that perspective, it's a great choice—especially with games that take advantage of Nvidia's 3D Vision. (Asus plans to offer a second SKU sans Nvidia's glasses, but the company hadn't announced pricing at press time.) In addition to its ability to sync to a 120Hz video signal—an absolute requirement for compatibility with Nvidia's LCD shutter glasses—Asus claims the monitor is capable of a response time of just two milliseconds. We didn't encounter any ghosting while wearing the glasses and playing Metro 2033, Just Cause 2, and Batman: Arkham Asylum in 3D Vision mode; more importantly, the 3D effects added appreciably to our overall enjoyment of the games—especially when we had the luxury of connecting three of these displays to this year's Dream Machine.

That one is better :P

You WILL ghost with a 5ms response time. Look for 2ms. NO DVI output? Yeah, if you want to be gamer elite, you will want what I have in the link provided. Its even better than my old Samsung SyncMaster 226BW which also had 2ms response time, 3000:1 Dynamic Contrast. The difference between my Samsung and the ASUS is like night and day. Plus you get the 3D Vision Kit (retails separately for ~$180 USD), which is an excellent bonus. The ASUS also is 120hz which IS a 3D display.. so you caneven use it as a TV (it has HDMI).

I've owned one for over a year now, and it works well, even better with the firmware update, good for RPGs but I would suggest a MX518 if your going to play FPS.

Also depends on your SATA speed... connecting a SSD onto a 3Gb/s then your bottlenecking it, that's why you get a 6Gb/s board.. :) Of course this also depends on the speed of the SSD as well, but you get the picture. :) I don't have a 6Gb/s board but I don't think platter HDDs would benefit from it all that much since access speed is dependant on RPM, otherwise, why would they have 3Gb/s ports on new boards equipped with 6Gb/s ports? Anywhooo
