Haven't played the first one in years, but replayed the second earlier this year and it has definitely aged really well. GO GET IT ALREADY!

It uses a checkpoint system and they are placed perfectly in between tense section of the game.

You don't have to buy this dlc if it isn't your cup of tea. There will be more dlc down the road that will cater to your tastes.

This way you know exaclty what your getting. You don't have to buy a dlc pack that only includes 1 or 2 maps that you like and few that you will hate.

I also don't see this really segregating the community either since you can filter the servers according to maps/dlc. I mean it's not like you would want to play with those who prefer the 'generic corridor' gampley, (not my words).

There are fantastic exclusive games, but I'd have to say Demon's Souls. It's one of the most innovative and engrossing games of this gen.

Tottaly depends on the game. Of most of the games I've played, I've only done one playthrough unless i really enjoyed it.
