Interesting to how many that are saying yes considering MS probably won't make you.
Why will Microsoft not make you? Unless they keep the One branding and have the disc identical, but then its going to be awkward finding out what games work on the original one and which don't as the gen matures. I doubt devs are going to limit what can be achieved on new consoles, as it will require more than just some low settings the One is really underpowered at this point.
Third parties will do what they want. Lying Phil at it again, considering what XBOX offers for their first party line up looks like Xboners can look forward to Ori 3 and other 2D Microsoft first party indies in 60fps.
All gens have had cross gen games, forward compatibility is just nonsense. How long do they keep it up 5, 10, 30 years? How do they announce your system gets dropped? Presumably they will sell a single edition of the game, and then one day you find out they stop working...
It doesn't work like PC where gamers are far more likely to be interested in specs and minimum requirements.
Just more lies from XBOX team, they will drop the flopbox before the PS4 stops being supported, and Sony claim no forward compatibility.
Damn I remember at the time thinking how incredible next gen AI could be having natural conversations, but nope instead we ended up with X Doubt and press F to pay respects
