Hi,

If you haven't bought premium yet as you find the price on Origin a rip off then you might be interested to know it's only £31.95 at Zavvi.

I personally think that this is still high for something that is an expansion and not a full game but it's better than paying £40.

If you live in the UK you can get it from Zavvi and save over £8. Might be more pleasing to some...

£40 is more expensive than a new game on PC here in the UK, which must make it the most expensive DLC in history. At that price I'm definitely not buying it. If it were £20 then yes I would be tempted.

So shall I save some money and upgrade in again 2 years? You guys have made arguments for both but for if BF3 and Skyrim will use all the cores then surely it's best to go for a hex core?

Why a quad core and not a hex one? Is the 4890 really going to be able to cope though with BF3, Skyrim and other new games with the new CPU?

Thanks everyone. I think I'll soldier on with my mainboard for a bit longer and just replace the 4890 with a 560ti and a hex core processor.

[QUOTE="ACWH"]

Thanks but if I go for nVidia I guess I'll have to change my motherboard as it's AM3? Won't it better to have an nForce one?

No, all motherboards support both nvidia and ati. This is a common misconception. You just need a PCI x16 slot.

So it's only a problem if I'm intending on using SLI or Crossfire later on?

My budget is no more than £250. Why would you recommend nVidia over ATI just out of interest? Thanks for the replies so far.
