I realise that the next generation is great for the PC since it shares the same architecture (x86) and is vastly more powerful than than the current generation. This should mean that not only will console games improve but so will PC games since many PC games are actually console ports. Also the common architecture will mean that they will be easier to port to the PC and will give devs more time to focus on developing the actual game than to spend most of their time porting it. This is all great obviously.

The only problem is the Xbox One will limit the PS4 and PC since it has an inferior GPU and RAM to the PS4, not to mention PC will soon get DDR4. I think this will mean devs will just use the Xbox One as the main development platform since if a game can run on Xbox One running it on PS4 and PC will be no problem. However I doubt most devs will bother to take advantage of the extra power of PS4 and PC and will just port it identical to the Xbox One version meaning that the game would not achieve what it could have if the PS4 was the main development platform.

I really hope they at least optimise games to take more advantage of the PS4's extra power. At the very least I hope devs make a 1080p 30 fps Xbox One game run @ 1080p and 60 fps on the PS4.

Asking for 1080p/30fps vs 1080p/60 fps gap would require 7950 BE level GPU and PS4 doesn't have 7950 BE class GPU.

I wouldn't mind if they lowered the graphics a bit for 60 fps.

Not remotely. Xbox One has computation power in the cloud to make up for any extra hard-performance the PC and Ps4 have. Furthermore, even if it didn't have the cloud the Xbox One is still very powerful and you should think, as everything is now based on x86, that the Xbox One is merely a PC. EVERYONE has a different PC. And yet all games are still great on PC.

Think about it. You have a GTX TITAN with 64GB DDR5 RAM and an i7... you can play Metro Last Light at over 1080p and 60fps. Let's say i have a GTX670 and 4GB of RAM and an i5... I can... play... at... 1080p... at... 60fps...

Power now really ain't that limiting. No need for 8GB GDDR5. Only people who can even make use of that are open world games so you can stream textures in faster.

I hope your joking.

Make stunlock a weapon attribute that counter balances damage output. Poise should remain. Reduce lag, a lot. Having weapons other than the Katana NOT suck, or don't make the Katana so OP. themyth01
You just reminded me about one of the worst PvP flaws. Backstabbing. They should remove that for PvP because some players abuse it and it becomes a bore.

Story) Should be more accessible and better explained, I honestly only understood a couple of things about the story of Dark Souls until I watched some lore videos on YouTube (EpicNameBro). I'm not calling for the story to be the major aspect of Dark Souls but I think that it would be better if they were a bit more direct in explaining the core story (with the more detailed story being possible to figure out through clues and text).

NPC's) Should be more memorable and their stories more understandable and touching like in Demon's Souls. Honestly I really like Ostrava and Biorr and was touched by their stories and their end. I was also really intrigued by most of the NPC's including Selen and Garl Vinland, Old King Doran, Sege Freke, Yuria, Maiden In Black, False King Allant and even Satsuki! Honestly I just fell in love with the Demon's Souls NPC's. For some reason the Dark Souls NPC's just didn't do it for me and were very forgettable.

Magic) Improve the effectiveness of magic in PvP because it's a JOKE, it's very difficult to hit people with magic. I understand there needs to be balance but they still should not make magic unusable in PvP!

Bosses) Make them genuinely challenging instead of making them trial and error gimmicks because in so many boss fights you could just figure out what to do and it becomes easy eg the Nito boss fight, solution is to use a divine weapon, Gaping Dragon, solution is to attack from behind. Also please make the final boss fight more epic, Gwyn was very anti-climatic because the whole game was spent hyping him up only for him to be a gimmicky boss which all you had to do to win was parry or use Iron Flesh.

Playability) Frame rate HAS to be a constant 30 at ALL times on consoles. PC version needs to be better looking than consoles and have 60 fps out of the box.

Atmosphere) Make it more atmospheric like Demon's Souls where the audio and music was more prevailant and enroached upon the mind.

Weapon Upgrades) Improve the weapon upgrading system by adding more options and giving them more meaning like in Demon's Souls (eg health regeneration with certain options and mana regeneration with others etc). This time there should be proper strength and dexterity modifiers.

Unique Weapons) Should be better like in Demon's Souls. Most unique weapons in Dark Souls were not so great. Don't make them overpowered but why do they have to be weaker than a fully upgraded normal weapon and have so many drawbacks? For example the Dragon Greatsword and it's not so great special attack which quickly breaks the sword and it's crushing weight coupled with it's lack of modifiers. There are not many unique weapons worth using in Dark Souls unlike in Demon's souls where there were some epic unique weapons eg Blueblood Sword and Dragon Bone Crusher.

In short many of the games problems can be fixed by going back to the masterpiece called Demon's Souls and checking out what it did right. Of course some things about Dark Souls are better than Demon's Souls such as the open world and they should keep those things. But in my mind Demon's Souls is simply the better game.

I've been thinking about this for a long time and I believe they should return all the good things about Demon's Souls but keep the improvement's and world of Dark Souls.

How about fixing all of the garbage bugs for us who play the Xbox 360? I wrote this what do you think? I have been playing Bethesda games starting with my first Fallout 3. Now the point I am making is this. Why do we as the people who spend sicking amounts of money buying games from a company that does not seem to care about us the consumers? They have not a clue how completely frustrating it is to have a game that is broke before it even goes into our Xbox's PS3s or the PC! Skyrim is the worst yet! I have with all of the DLC's spent well over $170.00 for a BROKEN GAME!!!! This is what I do not understand, why is it that a game that is such a work of art such a piece of crap due to the crashes, NPC's getting stuck or lost, quest being unable to be completed because of an NPC that turns hostile or just does not show up at all. I am on my 7th game because of crashes! When will enough be enough? I know that I do not speak for everyone when I say this will most likely be the last Bethesda game I ever buy unless they really fix all of these problems! I also think they should go back and send patches for Fallout 3, Fallout New Vegas and The ES 3 Oblivion instead of wasting our time by dropping Doom 3 BFG?? I love Skyrim I really do but the crashes NEED TO BE FIXED!!!! I hope this 1.9 patch will do the trick but I doubt it! Bethesda PLEASE WAKE UP YOU ARE SCREWING US AND WE ARE SICK OF IT!!!! Maybe they will fix this garbage? I for one am disgusted with all of it!!!!! COLLIER4949

wow......

You seriously need to chill out dude, I have played Skyrim on PC and Xbox 360 and the glitches are no way near as frequent and as common as you make it out to be. I have encountered less than 10 glitches on my 100+ hours of playing this HUGE game. You have to understand that when you have such a large world with so much going on it makes it very hard to be completely glitch free. I think Bethesda have done a fantastic job at ironing out the glitches and the game is very playable and not broken at all.

I have played Skyrim twice and think its a great game. But without mods (I have 100+ mods installed) I reckon it would have been a dull-ish game with a repetitive and sandboxed feel.

Here is my big complaint:

Immersion is broken by many flaws:

There are many things which happen in this game that break the immersion. Things such as the story assuming you are a nord even if you are not, for example being an Argonian and being allowed into Windhelm when Argonians are not supposed to be allowed in and seeing people complain about Argonians in front of you and talking to you as if you are a nord. This is irittating because if I choose a certain race I want to feel like that race!

Other things which break the immersion are things such as people not developing relationships with you for example when I helped Ulfric and his stormcloaks rule Skyrim and went about my business for a long time I decided to go back to visit him only to be told "What do you want? Make it quick". Is it so hard to make him be happy to see you after such a long time and to make new lines for that? It's like he barely knew me. There should be three relationship states for NPC's Unfamiliar, Familiar and Friend with each one having it's own lines. That would have been much more immersive.

I really hope Bethesda see this and make sure to take these points into consideration when they make the next Elder Scrolls game.

Do you agree? And what do you think could have made Skyrim better?

I would definitely recommend this game, fantastic game, highly atmospheric and most of all very unique.

Oh yh PvP is also fun and satisfying as hell, killing somebody in PvP is very satisfying.
