Hi guys,

I'm looking for a website that used to have a huge list of all of the games release for that year. It used to run all the way back to 2006!

I think it was called 'reasons why pc gaming is not dead" or something like that. I'm just trying to find that site because even though the games on their are most likely canned or became something else, I reckon it would be interesting to see what ideas and mechanics that were thought of over a decade ago have stuck around or died away...

Thanks for the help

Hey guys,

I'm downloading X-COM, on a PC that is not mine and it was going well till the internet started freaking out a bit, it's about 40% done, is there anyway I can take those folders and put them on my own pc and get steam to carry on downloading from 40% or am I resigned to starting from fresh?

Thanks!

NEVER MIND! I figured it out!! I installed the game to the steamapps folder (using the DVD) and then I told Steam to download it. Steam then found the existing files and folders and went on to download the extra files that were probably from patches etc.

I can officially say that this works for Batman Arkham Asylum GOTY Edition, I'll try other games that I have and report back. Maybe other people who've also tried this with other games can leave a comment stating which games work so that people can search to see if their preferred games can use this method or if they have to download the game fully from steam!

Hi Guys, I was wondering if anyone knows how to add retail games to steam and get all the perks of steamworks (updates, achievements etc).

For example, I bought Batman Arkham Arkham Asylum GOTY edition a while back, when it was still shackled by GFWL. It recently got patched to accept Steamworks, which I linked to my steam account. Now I want to be able to just install from the DVD and still have all the perks of steam, is that at all possible and if yes, how do I go about doing so? I have tried the backup nd restore from dvd method and Steam doesn't recognize the DVD of AA?

I also think that it may be a good I idea to sticky a tutorial somewhere here for others to look up!

WOW this game is receiving SOOOO much hate!! I really really enjoyed it. I rate it 3rd in the series, but when you consider that the other 2 are amazing it's not a bad thing at all!!

The one thing that annoyed me was that the Joker was the big bad, 3 times in a row is just too much especially since Batman has such a dope rogues gallery, also the shock gloves were way too overpowered, I actually tried NOT to use them because comabat got too easy, mainly in the story, in the challenge maps when things get super heated they can be pretty critical. Personally I had not bugs except when they foprgot to allow us to play at launch hahaha and some other small bugs, but nothing that isn't common in gaming hahaha!

@groowagon: I unfortunately do have a LGA 1155 motherboard and was actually thinking of going all out and getting another GTX 770 and going SLI!! Seeing as that doesn't seem to be such a good idea I think I may have to reconsider.

So would you recommend that I change my whole system to an LGA 1150 or should I just ride it out and wait for a proper NEED to upgrade?

@kraken2109: I'm gonna get my a mechanical keyboard soon (most probably the Corsair K60) so that is covered! My sound is a simple 2.1 setup which works well :)

Is there a point to No Man's Sky, or do you just go to planets, look at stuff, try to survive, and leave?

That's what I think, I get that people are excited to explore the worlds and stuff, but the procedurally generated stuff, I reckon it might just get boring, sure we'll see different planets and stuff, but how many times were you wowed by guns in borderlands? I tend to prefer the hand crafted worlds that SC will have. Granted still excited for both games, but you have to wonder about NMS tiny dev team and lack of experience, whereas SC seems to have a wealth of experience andthat ludicrous amount of public funding!

My main concern is comfort, the problem with giving a price in Rands is that the exchange rate skews things horribly!

I did some more research and found that there is a site that does take the products back (weird), I also thought it would be nice to have wireless headphones! I'm not a pro/hardcore gamer, but I do LOATHE wires all over the place, I've read that interference and distortion has been pretty much eradicated from headset makers too!

What do you guys think of these: http://www.gioteck.com/products/ps4/ps4-headsets/ex-06/

They are within my price rage (+/- $80) and can hook up to quite a range of devices AND are wireless.....otherwise, any other suggestions?

Hi Guys,

Like the topic suggests, I'm looking at getting myself a pair of gaming EARPHONES, not HEADPHONES, to gear up for the likes of Evolve, The Division etc. The reason why I want earphones instead of headphones is because Headphones always start hurting the area below my ears after around 20 mins of playing, which is obviously not cool! Earphones I have no problem with. I'd like the phones to have a good sound quality and obviously a microphone for voice chat.

The only issue is finding earphones that I can use and rely on for gaming. SO far I have seen the Razer Hammerhead Pro (http://www.razerzone.com/gaming-audio/razer-hammerhead-pro), which is my only option and I'm looking for someone's honest opinion on their experience with them or anything similar that they can recommend.

I realize that my issue with headphones could be that they are too tight, and unfortunately where I live (South Africa) I can't return a pair of headphones if they hurt my ears. If anyone can recommend a pair of headphones that won't have that problem, I'd be grateful!

Thanks
