What I love is how fans of it will dismiss all of the problems as if they don't matter. A broken game is a broken game, no matter what it "gets right". Patch after patch after patch to fill up my HDD? No thanks. Either get it right, or don't release it - But patching roads like the state of Illinois (they do a terrible job of upkeep on their roads, almost on purpose to keep contracts alive and union workers endlessly employed instead of fixing anything correctly) is for the birds. GOTY, my ***. And if the folks in the industry DO award it thusly, then we'll all know who received free copies, won't we?
My deepest sympathies to everyone who paid full price for the PS3 version. I don't like to see my fellow gamers getting frustrated or ripped off.
Peace on Earth, Good Will Towards Men, Go **** Yourself Bethesda. Ahmen.

I agree. These constant patches are ridiculous. This will be my 1st and last purchase from Bethesda. Wish I would have known about their track record for buggy releases beforehand. Only a true fanboy would attempt to justify and emphathize with a dev who could have waited a few more months or even another year before releasing a broken game and cashing in on the holiday phenomena. Who wants to go through the trouble or disabling auto saves and changing options to enjoy something they spent money on? It's amazing how the PS3 version racked up any awards at all. Until everything is fixed 100%, it will collect dust on my shelf if I don't decide to sell or trade it 1st.
Your loss, friend. When all is said and done, Bethesda's games are some of the most fun, time consuming games you'll come across. I agree that releasing "incomplete/superbuggy" games is not an acceptable practice, but unfortunately, it is commonplace nowadays. you will be hard-pressed to find a modern game (particularly one with a large, open world, with nearly infinite paths/choices for the player to make, like one of Bethesda's games) that doesn't have a good amount of little bugs/glitches. It just so happens that Skyrim, which is built on all new tech (new engine/etc) had one or two nearly/game-breaking bugs. again, I'm not trying to justify it here, but at least we know they are working on it. The fact that an official Bethesda representative came to this thread to quell this rumor speaks volumes, and also bolsters my respect for the already awesome company. Sure they take Microsoft's side a lot, but they still put out extremely entertaining games (IMO).what a bunch of idiots. it seems they are just targeting SONY for attention now. if they were REALLY about defeating SOPA (or the equally threatening PIPA) then they'd be targeting the ESA themselves. the ESA is the big supporter, and also runs E3. but even if that were the case, Anonymous should just stop. it's getting old.
Edit: also.. yeah. Threaten with hacks. That'll show people the SOPA and PIPA are pointless. [/sarcasm]
Sounds like some misinformation. The 1.4 update is underway and addressing PS3 issues is one of our highest priorities. Once we have more information to share on the update, we'll post details in our official forums.gstaffBethesdaWell, that pretty much seals it for me. I'm getting Skyrim ASAP.
They will make more God of War, for one reason alone. This.
And to not star Kratos would be mildly blasphemous in some peoples eyes. How they do it is anyones guess. but when there is money to be made, someone will find a way to make it.
I've been noticing lately (the past few days) in BF3 that it's getting harder and harder to keep a full game going. It seems most of the time there is at least a 2 to 3 player difference in teams, and lastnight, while playing squad deathmatch (for the new unlock, won 5 games in a row :D) we had to play the majority of one game using MAV's to hunt down the last guy in the game, since everyone else wimped out cause we were destroying (Thats my guess, anyway).
I guess I understand some people not wanting to waste time in a hopeless match, but either quit at the beginning, or stay through to the end. However...
That alone isn't the main problem. the main problem is that nobody started filling the slots till after about 10-15 minutes of hunting the same guy down (props to him for staying I guess). My question is, is this a matchmaking problem (the games not putting people into games with low player counts) or are there just not enough people online to fill out the servers? Yeah, sure, this was at like 10 pm - midnight PST, which is late, i understand, but even at peak hours (early evening, etc) i still find huge deficits in team numbers in popular game modes like conquest and rush.
So is the matchmaking b0rk, or is the PS3 player count getting low? I'm kinda worried, TBH.
