Of course I told myself when I started playing skyrim that I would read every book, finish every quest, do everything I possibly could in the game, but I soon became overwhelmed with making new characters lol.

My gaming has reached its second wind. But, I usually game in one or two-hour spurts. The days of day-long gaming is gone forever.

Same here, I was remembering the days of playing arma 2 for an entire weekend, from the moment i woke up to the moment I went to sleep and I can barely manage a 2,3 hour session nowadays, I really do miss the old days where I had less responsibilities and less duties and I could play as much as I want.

CIV 5, Crusader Kings 2, Medieval 2: Total War(*), Starcraft 2, Dawn of War 2, Company of heroes, Unity of Command, Frozen Synapse: All of these are RTS and there is a lot of variety between all these games, all are different styles of RTS but all are great games.

Counter Strike: GO, Painkiller: Black, Killing Floor, Quake Live, Farcry 2+3(*), Battlefield 3, Left 4 Dead 2, The STALKER series(*), Doom 3, Metro 2033: All of these titles are FPS and again there is a lot of variety between each of these games but are all good.

The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim(*), Fable, Mass Effect trilogy, Torchlight 2(*), The Witcher 2, Mount & Blade: Warband(*), Vampire: The Masquerade, Fallout New Vegas, Dead Island, Arma 2(** + Only if you have a lot of time on your hands): All of these games are RPG games, again all of these games vary between them in style but all are a lot of fun.

Geometry Wars, Audio Surf, Plants vs Zombies, Shatter, Terraria, Peggle: These are some of my favorite arcade games, great for passing an hour if you don't feel like investing too much time but have nothing better to do.

Honorable mentions: Resident Evil 5 (if you have a coop partner), Hitman: Blood Money (The best of the Hitman games).

(*) = Personal favorites, high recommended and which I believe you shouldn't miss these games.

I'm away from my pc for a week and all I have is my gf's laptop. I've never really tried any browser games besides BF heroes and I just hoping if you guys on the forum could just recommend a few good ones. The only one that I was able to think of was Quake Live and I've been having fun with that but I get bored of it after an hour.

Thanks =)

I'm currently not doing anything besides looking at this forum, and the temperature is at 65 Celcius, is this too high? How could I possibly lower the heat, I have my OC settings set to lowest possible.

It sounds like heat is the problem. You should check all of the components (especially the motherboard and video card) for anything that looks odd. Honestly, heat damage might not even be noticable, but it's worth a try. Often, the RAM on video cards doesn't get very much cooling.

Thanks for the response, don't judge me but I keep my pc case open to try and keep it cooler, but you could be right, I'll try to check out where the heating is at, however, if this was the problem, what's a possible solution?

 Hi guys, so I'm looking for some insight on my problem I've been having for the past few months. I've had this PC for a long time, and the games I would normally play on it were skyrim, Counter Strike: Source, Diablo 3, Arma 2 and a few other relatively current games. Now about 4 months ago I moved and I hooked up my pc without any problems, and after a few weeks of using my computer, I was experiencing an issue where whenever I'd run a game, when the game would load my PC would instantly shut off.

It seems as though when my PC is even slightly stressed, it shuts off completely. However, games such as counter strike 1.6, Morrowind, and LoL this problem doesn't occur, probably because these games aren't the least bit demanding. I've trouble shooted the hell out of this and I still have the same issue, I'm having trouble wraping my head around this and it's become very annoying. I recently reformatted and installed Vista 64 bit as my OS, and still the same issue. Any input would help and I'm just looking for anyone who might have any idea how I could fix this. Thank you.
