I'm making a new series called "The History of GS", and it chronicles the history of our great site. Hee it goes. The first one explains the purpose of GS.

GameSpot has been on the internet for years, protecting the freedom and rights of gamers everywhere, and providing info on games and news, and, most famously the forums.

The difference from GS and other sites, is not its specialty, (Gaming) not its more "elite" and higher quality users, not that its on of the top 200 visited sites on the planet, but the mystique of the GSers themselves, GSers are a special type of gamer, not just gaming as a hobby, but as a part of ones soul, when you ask people what they did in life, and if it matters, some say, "Oh I have a desk job, a wife and kids" Oh I have a degree, I'm an engineer" Oh I sevrved in the Army, now I'm a fishermen" The GSer proudly, and bodly steps up with his chin up high, his back hunched, his thick glasses shining, says "I post on GameSpot"

The hardships a GSer has to go through, most get banned after a couple posts, the moderators only accept the best, the smartest, the toughest, the nerdiest. Even then they must face tough tasks, will he risk posting in religous threads??? Will he risk his profile to get his Naive andmiguidedpoint of view across??? Will he report his best friend to the mods to gain those extra 15 points to advance to a level 63 Dungeon Master??? Few are good enough to be GSers, but those who are, those who are brave enough, are GSers for the rest of their lives. Its apart of their spirit....

GS, knows they're the best, and accept nothing less, but are humble, when all the Gaming sites advertise to young Gamers, they give speeches on the benifets of joining their site, and sugar coat it all, GS on the other hand, sends one experienced GSer on stage, with his tie tighened, his think glasses shined, his Iphone hanging off his belt, he boasts proudly "A few of you nerds may be geeky enough to post on GS, if you think your up to it, email me atLittlekidlover1337@ Gamersource.comor contact my WOW profile FantasyElfAlba or call me up my profile Galactagork on XBL."

And even in dvertising, we are honest, we have ads like "No one likes to post, but someone should know how, GameSpot.com is looking for a few good gamers" Or "We don't accept applications, Gamers 13 to 40, no Girlfriends, contact your local GeekSquad, maybe you can become one of us."

GameSpot has long protected the rights of Gamers everywhere with our most decorated unit being the 4Z5 Rainbow division(Few GSers are accepted in it, its an elite within the elite.), back in 05, Omni Slash and THE_DRUGGIE held off an entire armada of AntiGaming Liberals Commanded by Jack Thompson with only a couple anti Frigate cannons, some X9w2 assault rifles, and a toothpick. Or a couple months back when NicktehImperial held off rabid Fanboys from GameFaqs with a Napalm flamethrower, and kept them from destroying OT, while The OT King had recently been banned and Anarchy threatened our great site. Or when CaptainHawkeye destroyed the Evil Jointed in the battle of The who has the best military thread. Or when DoubleDecker killed 50,000 Goblins. Or when Solidsnake35 got laid by Jessica Alba, then that really pretty girl from Harry Potter.

GameSpot always has, and always will defend gaming worldwide, always.

Thats the purpose of GS, but in the next edition I will discuss the founding of GS. Bye!!!

I NicktehImperial, would also like to note, that I amdamn proud to serve with you guys. I've been in ALOT of forums, with some damn fine posters, but I'd like to say, you guys did good, and I'm proud to be making this thread to honor ya'll!!! 1337, game on.
