It was always going to be hard to make a wii football game but they don't get much worse

Pro evolution soccer is losing out to FIFA in almost every aspect now and the wii was there gap to bring pro evo back into the top of soccer games but they failed miserably in this game and although i haven't played fifa on the wii, it can't get much worse than this, the training is useless unless you devote 2-3 hours too it, and that is seriously boring and you will start to get annoyed by the trainee's voice. once you get used to the control scheme things start looking up, but by then the next one will be out and you will be playing that instead, which is hopefully better. it's a starting point and if konami look at there forums and there mistakes and polish 09 up, it could be the start of something great. i would recommend a rental to see if you can get on with the controls and then buy.
