This game was released 10 years too early. However it still lives up to the standard of the previouse PCM Series.
The single player mode is not much to boast about. If you have the difficulty set to easy, the only thing you need to do to win is to go on an attack with your whole team as soon as the race start, and you'll easily make it to the finish way before the Peleton( The big group with all the other riders) makes it to the finish.
If you find it to easy you can always set up the diffiuclty a few levels. Even so the AI has no diversity, it's always the same people going on a breakaway, and always the same people winning the races(single player mode).
Putting that aside, regarding the teams on the game. The teams are evenly balanced however, there are some exceptions. For example valverde who is way overpowered. The same goes for some other teams. Cyanide, or the creator of PCM should also have put in more effort of getting license for the teams. Most teams have fake team and player names. For example Thomas dekker is called Thomas Dakkor, and Vinokorouv is called Vanokorouv. Of course there is not much difference here it's just a tad annoying. Anyway, for anyone who is considering getting this game should get it. It's worth getting if you're planning on playing multiplayer. Its great fun and very simple to get going. There's also a very friendly hosting guide online at the forums for anyone who wants to host. Once your at it, you should also read how to avoid the bugs. There is ALOT of bugs in the game, Thats why I wrote in the Review Deck, that this game was released way to early, Cyanide simply didnt put enough effort into checking and fixing bugs.
Putting that aside, try to picture yourself playing with 20 people online every player controlling 8 riders each. A manager game doesnt get much better than that.
