Old-fashioned puzzling, DS amenities, $29.99?

I've played something like this before in a freeware game for PalmOS. You arrange mirrors and splitters to hit targets. This game mixes it up with filtered light, with each target requiring a certain color. My favorite mode is "Hyper". You're given a down-facing bulboid (the light emitting dudes) and two mirrors. As the Glowbos (the targets) appear all about the grid, you have to maneuver the Buboid and mirrors to channel light to the Glowbo before it explodes. As you continue, the game tosses in some filters and different colored Glowbos, making for obstacles and short-cuts at once. As this mode gets on in difficulty, I'm reminded of Wario's Woods, where keeping up with the game was not so much the pace, but consistently making the right move. As a result, it's very satisfying when you take out several Glowbos with one sweeping motion.

I've only seen the first four tiers of the puzzle mode, and the hyper mode. The game is painfully easy for the first two tiers, but quickly requires a bit of thought to get through the puzzles. I imagine it will get very complex as I'm only a quarter through the puzzle mode. I'll revise this when I've had more time with the game. I'll have to give the multiplayer a try. That may be the deal-breaker for it's $29.99 price tag (sure to drop before long).
