A catosrophic glitch absolutely killed this game for me.

User Rating: 6 | Prince of Persia: Warrior Within XBOX
Warrior Within is the sequel to PoP:Sands of Time. It contains much of the same gameplay, and the same protagonist, but with a darker tone.

The Good:
The gameplay in WW continues to be fantastic, just like Sands of Time. This game allows you to do amazing things with just a moderate amount of skill and concentration, it really makes you feel like a professional. The ability to reverse time if you make a misstep (with limitations) continues from the previous game, and it takes a lot of the frustration out of the game while allowing it to remain challenging.
The story also continues where PoP:SoT left off, and it is engaging with good characters. This game gets some grief for being darker in tone, particulary the prince. I expected to feel the same way, since I don't like when a character is made dark just for the sake of being dark or edgy. But that's not the case here, the Prince's transformation into a less cheerful, meaner character is part of the storyline. Between the first game and this one, the prince has been pursued relentlessy by his fate, and his fate is death. It would have been a little silly if the same easy going tone that was part of the first game was also in this one. He does throw out the unnecessary one liner here and there, but it's pretty easy to look past.
The graphics are also top notch for a last-gen game. The sounds and voice acting are also above average.

The Bad:
That's a lot of good stuff. But now the bad. The huge thing is the glitches. After reading a FAQ I see that there are a few, and it's quite possible to make it through the game without encountering any. Only one of them affected me, but it was a big one. I managed to get to an area that I wasn't supposed to get to yet, which caused me to unknowingly bypass a sword that was vital for me to progress later in the game. Once I got to that point, it was a several save stations later, and I couldn't get back to the pre-glitch area. So I was done. The only option was to start the whole game over, and this was after several hours of playing. Glitches happen, but allowing something of this magnitute to happen in a game is piss poor, especially from a company as respected as Ubisoft.
Another down side to the game is the open world feel. Normally open world is a good thing. But in this game, "open world" just means you have access to areas that you really don't need to go to, because there's nothing to do there and you'll have to turn back. This game made me realize that sometimes linear actually is good.

Overall:
The glitch killed this game for me. I was tempted to log on and give this game a 1.0 immediately. But after thinking things through, this game does have a lot going for it. However, I can't not hold the glitches against it, which is why I can't give this game more than a 6.
As a matter of fact, I would recommend this game to anyone who liked Sands of Time, or action/platformers in general. BUT, I recommend keeping a FAQ/Walkthrough nearby, so you can read up on the glitches before hand, and also know which way you're supposed to go at times, in order to avoid wasting time running through obstacles only to turn around and go back the opposite way with nothing achieved.
