Review Of Prince of Persia : Warrior Within

User Rating: 9.5 | Prince of Persia: Warrior Within PS3
Prince of Persia : Warrior within is the second game in the "POP" series and is the sequel to the first game Prince of Persia : The Sands of Time. As Sands of Time brought in the story-line of the dagger and the sands of time, warrior within focused more on changing his fate. Warrior within was gloomy and dark with two time frames of the past and present of an island where the sands of time were made by an empress. The prince's mission is to stop the empress creating the sands of time and stop an immortal guardian of time known as Darharka which is trying to kill the prince because he cheated death.

In warrior within the prince has changed over time. After what has happened in the sands of time and what might happen the prince has become more dark, serious and more mature. He will fight for his life no matter what.

The game play of warrior within is a lot different from sands of time, the combat and enemies changed a lot. As sands of time's combat system was very simple and repetitive warrior within brought in new combos and more gory finishes. You can now pick up and use enemy weapons and find new weapons that can be thrown to the enemies or used as a second weapon. In sands of time you have time/sand related powers from a dagger, there are sand powers in warrior within but they're not from a dagger or weapon. They're from this tornado/smoke
sand that lets you travel from the past to the present, the tornado/smoke sand let you have some of the old powers and new powers to help you within the game.

In the sands of time the enemies were people who were infected by the sands of time, in warrior within he has new enemies. He has an army of skull sand creatures, sand giants, sand dogs, sand ninjas, sand giant mummies and other sand creatures trying to stop the prince from stopping his fate.

Warrior within is a excellent game for its time, it had a long good story-line and
got more interesting as it goes, it is fairly challenging and overall a great game to play and one of the best in the Prince of Persia series.
