User Rating: 9 | Prince of Persia Classic X360
Probably the best version of a classic game. Most of the visuals and sound are taken straight from Prince of Persia: Sands of Time. The controls have also been lifted from Sands of Time, along with most of the animations and the Prince's fancy acrobatics.

The story is not related to the modern trilogy though. The Prince is basically imprisoned by the Vizier (named Jaffar) and breaks out to stop the princess from a forced marriage to the the Vizier after a realtime hour expires.

The neatest addition to this game is the Ghost option. Where every level you play has your best score recorded. You can "race" against your own ghost, or even better: compete against the ghost of people from the leaderboard. Which basically makes this a makeshift multiplayer game despite not having a traditional multiplayer mode. The Achievements are pretty basic. Most of them are tied to standard game progress, while one or two of them are more skill-based.

Those who, like myself, might have been turned off by the original Prince of Persia due to its hit or miss controls (depending on platform) will finally get the chance to give this game the attention it deserves.

The only downer is that I don't think there are any oldschool original graphics to unlock. Perhaps there could be downloadable content for that, although it's not likely. The loyal Prince of Persia fans probably have a copy of Sands of Time for that, if they really want to stroll down memory lane. Those who do not probably wouldn't care to make that trip anyway and will be content to enjoy this penultimate version of Prince of Persia.
