You have to be crazy to refuse to play this mind-blowing puzzle/maze game. Heck you even get cake at the end!
Portal is an amazing first-person puzzle game that challenges its players to think, and think wisely. Many of the challenges the Aperture Science Lab presents you can be very mind-based puzzles, such as judging distances and then jumping them, and deciding whether or not to burn your best friend to stay alive. Portal is to big of a game to pass up.
Graphics:
While they may not be exactly the best, it still makes the levels feel real. When looking at yourself through a portal, it's pretty hard to see your own face, so judging graphics based on facial structure would be rather hard. However, the walls and floors seem to be greatly detailed, as well as the robots you will encounter throughout the game.
Gameplay:
The entire gameplay is amazing. There isn't one moment in the game where you are left to relax, or have second thoughts. Not even in the elevator, because you'll be thinking how hard the last level was, and imagining just how hard the next will be. The gameplay is so great, you even start to question what is fact and what is false, in the game. At times you may be emotionally attached to certain things in the game, but don't let that get in your way. If you do, there is no chance you will finish the game. NO CHANCE.
Replay Value:
While there is not much to replay this game for, its still very fun to go back and play this game a 4th or 5th time. Yes, its that addicting. And although the game can be beaten in less than a day, it still provides a great challenge to ANY gamers.
OVERVIEW:
Get the game, please. It most certainly won't be a waste of your money, I can promise you that. However, the one thing I cannot promise you, is that you can trust GLaDOS.
