I played Port Royal 2 back in 2004-2005. It's was a great one, however Arc's finance sunk into the toilet. I thought I won't be able to play the 3rd one. I was excited to hear Kaplse took over the Port Royal 3, because I was a fan of Patrician series as well.
The game's historical background is setting a stage at 16th century Carribbean. The key concept of the previous works were open free play. Port Royal 3 continnues this trend of free play. You're welcome to explore the Carribbean world as pirate, merchant, nationalist and explorer. Their some simple question to walk you though the game, and somewhat complex question to enhnace your play. The crown jewel of this game is still simulated trading system. The battle system is mild and not intensive. It's graphic is not kickass, but it's also acceptable for me.
I will check the muliplayer during the weekend.
