Pokemon Shield Cheats For Nintendo Switch

  1. Wild Area Weather Control.

Under normal circumstances the weather in the Wild Area is completely random, which can make hunting for certain Pokemon which only spawn under specific weather conditions a frustrating experience. Fortunately, the weather can be altered by changing the date on your Nintendo Switch under System Settings using the dates specified below, presented in the following format: MM/DD/YY. (Time is irrelevant unless the Pokemon you're hunting spawns exclusively during day or night.)

    02/01/20XX - Snowstorm*
    03/01/20XX - Cloudy
    04/01/20XX - Sandstorm*
    05/01/20XX - Clear
    06/01/20XX - Fog*
    07/01/20XX - Sunny
    10/01/20XX - Rain
    11/01/20XX - Thunderstorm
    12/01/20XX - Snow

    * The following weather conditions are unattainable until you've passed the following milestones: Sandstorm and Snowstorm = 4 Gym Badges Earned, Fog = Galar Pokemon League Champion Title Earned.

WARNING: Changing the date on your Switch will reset the timer on any active Pokejobs.

  2. Unlockables through Curry Dex completion

In Pokémon Camp, one of the actions you can do is cook Curry with your Pokémon, and a Curry Dex keeps track of the kinds of Curry you've cooked; by talking to the Cooking Guru, right outside Motostoke in the Wild Area, you can unlock various things based on the amount of different kinds of Curry you've cooked.

Another action you can do in Pokémon Camp is playing with your Pokémon with various toys; different Pokémon like different toys and most of the rewards for Curry Dex filling are new Toy skins.

  3. Increasing the chances of Brilliant and Shiny Pokémon through Encounter Chains

The Pokédex keeps track of the number of times you've defeated or caught a certain specie of Pokémon; this number goes towards your chances of encountering a Brilliant Pokémon of that specie (Pokémon giving off a yellow aura, which know an Egg Move) and Shiny Pokémon (Pokémon with a different, rarer color palette than usual).

    Unlockable
At least 1 Encounter 1. Brilliant Pokémon may appear
At least 20 Encounters 2. Brilliant Pokémon have 1.3× the likelihood of appearing
At least 50 Encounters 3. Brilliant Pokémon have 1.6× the likelihood of appearing and Shiny Pokémon have 2× the likelihood of appearing
At least 100 Encounters 4. Brilliant Pokémon have 2× the likelihood of appearing and Shiny Pokémon have 3× the likelihood of appearing
At least 200 Encounters 5. Shiny Pokémon have 4× the likelihood of appearing

  4. Chain Fishing for Brilliant Pokémon

Fishing can increase your chances of encountering Brilliant Pokémon (Pokémon giving off a yellow aura, which know an Egg Move). Differing from standard Encounter Chaining, the number of times you've battled any one specie won't matter at all for fishing; instead, you'll simply need to defeat as many Pokémon consecutively as you can, no matter which specie appears.

The chain will break if you fail to reel a Pokémon in, if you catch a Pokémon, run away from a Pokémon, leave the area or turn off your game.

The number of successful hooks goes towards your chances of encountering a Brilliant Pokémon, and the thresholds are as follows.

    Unlockable
0–2 successful hooks 1. Brilliant Pokémon may appear
3-6 successful hooks 2. Brilliant Pokémon have 1.3× the likelihood of appearing
7-14 successful hooks 3. Brilliant Pokémon have 3.3× the likelihood of appearing
15-24 successful hooks 4. Brilliant Pokémon have 6.6× the likelihood of appearing
25+ successful hooks 5. Brilliant Pokémon have 16.6× the likelihood of appearing

  5. Catching, Oval, and Shiny Charms

All of these are obtained in Circhester. From the Pokemon Center, go right towards the hotel, entering the hotel on the left. When there, after the specified conditions are met, talk to the corresponding person to get the Charm you wish.

    Item
Go to the second floor, and into the second room on the left. Speak with the doctor there. Catching Charm - boosts the rate of a critical capture
First, become the Champion of the Pokemon League. Go to the second floor, and into the first room on the left. Battle the cop there. Oval Charm - makes it more likely for Pokemon to lay an Egg at the nursery if they're compatible
First, capture all 400 Pokemon in the Galarian Pokedex. Speak with the same doctor who gave you the Catching Charm. Shiny Charm - triples the frequency at which Shiny Pokemon appear

  2. Manipulate the weather in the Wild Area

The weather in each section of the Wild Area is normally randomized based on your Switch system's date. This can be somewhat annoying since certain Pokemon will only appear during certain weather conditions. However, by setting your Switch system's date to a specific date (which differs depending on the weather condition you want), every section of the Wild Area will be experiencing the desired weather condition. The dates (listed in MM/DD/YYYY format) for each weather condition are as follows:

    Clear: 5/1/2020
    Sunny: 7/1/2020
    Cloudy: 3/1/2020
    Rain: 10/1/2020
    Thunderstorm: 11/1/2020
    Snow: 12/1/2020
Hail: 2/1/2020 (must have at least 4 badges)
Sandstorm: 4/1/2020 (must have at least 4 badges)
Fog: 6/1/2020 (must have defeated the Champion)

If you put at least one Pokémon inside of every Box, then leave the storage system and come back, more boxes will be added. This trick can be repeated until you've unlocked 31 total boxes. You get one additional one after you catch your first legendary Pokemon. Each of these 32 boxes can hold 30 Pokémon, allowing for you to store a grand total of 960 Pokémon on one save file.
