Gamespot, I beg to differ!

User Rating: 8.5 | Pokemon Fushigi no Dungeon: Ao no Kyuujotai DS
To be honest, I absolutely loved this game. Being a big fan of Pokemon, I'm glad that the first lot of Mystery Dungeons came into the DS this well. The storyline isn't as good as that in explorers of Darkness, which I have also completed, but is much more immersive, and sets up a tighter challenge keeping you on your toes. The game lasts for a long time, with level after level after level. At the very end of the game, they bring in two final levels, each lasting about eight hours if you're unbelievably skilled and crazy enough to attempt it. I'm surprised they didn't add the extra fun parts this game comes with into Explorers of Darkness and time, such as the friend areas, and being able to run around town as a different Pokemon. This truly is a unique game, with an exciting adventure that the interesting storyline brings. Here's what I thought:

Pros:
- Interesting storyline that changes pace as the game unravels.
- A great, enjoyable start to the Mystery Dungeon series that Gamespot clearly doesn't appreciate.
- A fine line between hard and frustrating.
- Cool how your own personality is needed to match you with your perfect Pokemon in the start of the game =D

Cons:
- The last level to reach celebii is so impossibly hard I can't even explain it!
- ABSOLUTELY HATE every level where they ruin all your hard-fought-for training by shunting you down to level one.
- Why did they make almost the exact same on the GBA? It's like they're trying to make the DS's capabilities look slim.

All in all, I highly recommend you steer clear of believing Gamespots score and consider what I've said. This really Isn't a bad game, in fact, it's definitely one of my favourites. That's why I'm giving it a 8.5/10

P.S Why did Gamespot give Red Rescue (for the GBA) a better score than Blue Rescue (DS) The only major difference is what they're played on, and I don't know anyone who would prefer one screen over two!
