A true sequel to Pokemon Red/Blue, Pokemon Silver is much more than your average "kid game."

User Rating: 10 | Pokemon Silver Version GBC
The successor to one of the most successful Game Boy games of all

time, Pokemon Silver truly delivers.

This game sets you into the world of Johto, a ficticious region that is home

to creatures called Pokemon. This generation of Pokemon games introduced

100 new pokemon, adding to the original 151. It is completely up to you as

the trainer to decide what kind of Pokemon you would like to catch, and how

to train them. The gameplay mechanics are decievingly addictive, and you

will find yourself playing through the 40+ hour game nonstop. Whether it be

training your critters to become the champ, or trying to catch all 251

pokemon, everyone can find a way to enjoy this RPG.

There are quite a few improvements from the previous Red/Blue/Yellow

versions, the most notable include;

-Two additional Pokemon types, Dark and Steel.

-Night/Day feature (when it is night time, the screen will actually turn darker, which allows you to catch some night time exclusive Pokemon.)

-Vastly improved visuals.

The thing that is my absolute favorite part of this game, is the music. You'd

be surprised at what amazing tunes the little Nintendo portable can dish out.

I got Pokemon Silver when it came out, 10 years ago, and I can still

remember the songs by heart. I can't help but smile everytime one of those

songs pops into my head. Pokemon Silver is my Anti-Drug, I still play it

today from time to time.

Whether it is the charming little Monsters, the addicting gameplay, the

obsessive Pokedex filling, or the epic music Pokemon Silver truly delivers for

both hardcore and casual players. It is a game that cannot be mimicked, and

is a truly unique experience.

This is gaming at it's finest, it has earned the review score of 10/10.
