Scheming zombies, plants with attitude and plenty of ammo! What could go wrong?

User Rating: 8.5 | Plants vs. Zombies PC
This is one of those games where you read good reviews, you buy it, and while it's installing you still have that underlying feeling that you're about to feel duped and cheated out of your hard earned green!

Well fear not!

'Plants vs. Zombies' will only take a few minutes of simple, but effective, progressive levels to slowly but surely rope you into it's addictive gameplay.

A regular shuffling of plants, zombies, special abilities (some that need to be purchased) and level locations is a common theme as you defend the borders of your home from endless waves of undead.

Each level presents you with new abilities and plants that you can use in future missions. The variables created by the different locations (including your backyard pool and your roof) and the contrasting night/day levels, create new challenges and hurdles so that things never stagnate as the game unfolds.

There are many combinations of defensive/offensive abilities that you can combine as you look for more effective ways to repel the relentless zombies, but for the most part your first run through the level process will be fun, but fairly straightforward.

Luckily, this game blossoms in several directions as you progress.
The puzzles and challenges which appear aside from the main 'campaign' are well thought out and a lot of fun to play.

Successfully completing levels, puzzles and other challenges affords you coin that you can spend to increase your arsenal or buy plants which can be used in your own personal 'greenhouse', a place where caring for your plants yields rewards also.

This game is simple but very effective.
You can play it for an hour or two,or even for 15 minutes, leave it, then come back 2 days later and you'll slot right back in the groove immediately.
