This game has more content for 15$ than many games do at 60$
Gameplay 9- For everyone sick of tower defense games with a difficulty curve that is like running headlong into a brick wall, Plants vs Zombies has a very gentle curve, almost too gentle as the game doesnt ramp up the challenge until almost the end (of story mode). Each new level completed unlocks a new plant and the game is good at helping you with new tactics. So you are always learning something new.
Aside from the story mode, XBL version also has mini games, puzzles, survival- which is like an endless, and many more things to do and see. The controls are straight forward; A confirms, B cancels or digs up a plant, and the bumpers change seed packets.
There is also two kinds of multiplayer that are local-only in this version.
Graphics 9- Full of color and art, these 2D sprites are really brought to life. Plant and zombie designs are each unique.
Sound 8- While not an orchestral masterpiece, the music is gentle and never really gets on the nerves. Sounds are funny and silly- peas impacting cones or buckets, corn kernals hitting heads, and explosions from cherry bombs and jalapenos.
Replay Value 10- After finishing Adventure mode, several more things open up to add to the dozens of hours you can spend playing this game. Few other games offer this much to do for 15$
Fun Factor 10- It's nice to finally have a TD game that is easy enough pretty much anyone can get into. This game is delightfully fun and the whole package is meant to be more silly than hardcore. Everything wraps together nicely to make one of the beast games available on XBL
