Very immersive and REALLY MMOG: get prepared to join a dirty and painful battle!

For beginners, the start may be difficult (although Sony is working on a better tutorial): it's hard to be a noob in a collaborative game.

So you will start as canon fodder, the bottom of the food chain! ;-)

My advice is to try all the different game play and to look for an outfit (a guild).

trying every game-play by itself is a journey: you can grunt, you can fly, you can use tank or transport people...
And when I say grunting, it's short: there is 6 different classes and each class can be played in a few different ways. To give just an example: the infiltrator can be a sniper or a close combat assassin or a hacker and have mines. He can also drive a cloaked ATV with an engineer on his back to go destroy vehicles on the way.

Being in an outfit will have you on a teamspeak or mumble server to chat and ask question while playing: very helpful right?

My last advice: go check for videos on youtube! There is a bunch of passionate players who delivered wonderful videos explaining how to. Here is a link to one of these which describe a list of planetside youtubers
