This game is a nice twist on the popular Tower Defense genre.

Well this game is similar to most tower defense games out there, it shares the same objectives, build turrets to stop the enemies reaching your base and destroying you, killing enemies gains you more money to build/upgrade more turrets.

This however, is no ordinary Tower Defense game, as soon as you begin a game you can tell its slightly different. For a start, you build turrets out of the trees, which are only set in certain positions, so you can't just spam turrets wildly about without thinking, you'll need to place certain turrets in certain positions if you wish to succeed.

Also instead of the game being controlled by a cursor, you walk around as a small hedgehog type creature and pick up coins that enemies drop when they die, and also build new turrets with him. Keep away from enemies however, as they can attack you and make you lose your coins.

The levels are fairly hard, and as you get later on into the game, you will find that there is hardly any time between a wave finishing and the next starting, which means you have to grab coins and weave in and out of enemies in order to succeed. You'll also need to think fast and make wise building decisions.

Another thing that makes the game stand out from the usual Tower Defense, is the fact that there is a offline multiplayer mode for 2 players. This is exactly the same as the single player mode, except that there are 2 hedgehog creatures on the screen.

I'll seperate the different aspects of the game now and rate them individually.

AI: Well its a TD, there isn't much AI in these kind of games, except enemies following paths. Some maps are very strategic, and sometimes there maybe several paths you will need to block in order to stop the enemies reaching for base.

Graphics: Its a 2D top-down game, other than the fact that the graphical styles blend nicely, again theres not much to comment on. Not really any special effects apart from some boss enemies leave a shockwave when they hit the ground, and some turrets have special effects linked with their weapons.

8/10

Sound: The game has a few nice songs on it, doesn't seem to be a great deal of sound effects however, but luckily the music makes up for most of it.

7.5/10

Gameplay: Well the game doesn't seem all that long, can probably finish it in a weekend. However Multiplayer boosts it a little, and the excellently strategic maps are something which most Tower Defense games honestly lack.
