This is one of the best old school game I've played.

User Rating: 9 | Sid Meier's Pirates! (1987) PC
Gameplay: Sid Meier's Pirates! was first introduced in 1987, and was further modified by Microprose until 1993 as Pirates! Gold for IBM PC on DOS 3.3 or higher. In this original game you can play as the French, Spanish, English, or Dutch vessel. Nationality, historical age, and difficulty choice determine your starting ship for the game. So you can go around raiding towns and saving governer's daughters from pirates who kidnap them. You also go on quests to find maps and treasure, etc. The controls are pretty easy to learn so it will not take to long to pick up.

Graphics: The graphics are in black and white and pixolated but is really nice for a game that game out in 1987. Can't say to much about the graphics since they where pretty simple.

Sound: Well not much sound here besides beeps and such so nothing much to talk about.

Value: All in all this is a very addictive game which will keep you hooked for hours and hours at a time. Replay value is really good and is one of my favorite games. I give this game 9 out of 10.
