First MMORPG for the console world to do things right. Just like the dreamcast, it was an FIRST INNOVATIVE EXPERIENCE.

To start off:

If one played PSO, online or offline (if lucky) both, one was lucky. Hands down, the first Innovative MMORPG on the console world to do things just right. It was innovative and just down right great for its time.

Story completely was superb. With the music combined, one went through dungeons figuring out the complex story behind what happened upon the planet. It was like a complete mystery. Quite amazing really. The story just slams the player in the middle of things trying to find out the reason of the "impact" between the colony and Team B. Dungeons were quite uniquelly designed lured with traps, hidden doors, and etc that broke up the monotony of the game itself. In my opinion, the dungeons were extensively LONG. One dungeon needed at least 40 mins to finish (quite addicting).

Online mode was surreal. One has to give it up to the dreamcast and SEGA for being able to run this MMORPG with what the Dreamcast had. Missions could be done that ranged from finding an item, doing an errand, and to even just hacking a bunch of monsters. With the combination of a few friends, one can get the job done!

One was able to play co-op (offline) to finish the story as well as download missions for play offline.

Stellar game for its time. Soundtrack was superb and befitting for the mode that the PSO world had. Opening VA was truly memorable explaining why the game was there. Only drawback was the conclusion of the story which one still is shrouded in mystery. Just how this game has been shrouded by the demise of the Dreamcast console. RIP

Recommended: Everyone. If any hardcore RPG fan hasn't played PSO V2, one is completely missing out.

Not recommended: no one.

Utterly amazing but now RIP.
