Persona 5 Striker is a good sequel for people who are fans of this game despite foul language.

User Rating: 7 | Persona 5 Strikers NS

The good: No more turn-based combat, everyone has their own respectable styles in their own right, it runs fairly well on the Switch.

The bad: No way to censor foul language, minor frame rate issues, so much dialogue to go through.

It's rare for Persona 5 Royal to have a sequel and Persona 5 Strikers is no exception. The action and the use of the teenage anime stars is done in their respectable ways, making it enjoyable to watch and play. Plus, this game runs well on the Switch with no issue with the controls to the pacing.

But when you have kids around, there's no way to cover up foul language. There might be an exception in reality that teenagers do use foul language but it's really hard to please everyone. There are some instances when the frame rate drops but not to the point in which the game is unplayable. Most of all, even though the English and Japanese voice actors did their roles well, you have to go through a lot. At least you can skip or speed over the text to get into the action.

It's rare but a successful encounter between the Dynasty Warriors developer and the Persona 5 developer to come together to make a special game. Few Dynasty Warrior-like games have gotten it right like Hyrule Warriors and Fire Emblem Warriors. As long as the action, story and gameplay work well together, this game is well recommended for warrior and Persona fans alike.
