Looks aren't everything

User Rating: 6 | Perfect World International PC

The Good
Character customization is nearly endless
Graphics blend very well
Very well designed environment
Has more character interaction than most mmo's
Has a solid community

The Bad
Skills are lacking
Battle is repetitive and boring
Weapon and armor repair has to be done frequently
Once you reach level 20 you are subject to be PK'd by higher level players

Perfect world looks very nice with its clean polished graphics and extensive character customization but it doesn't make up for the lacking game play. When creating your character you can customize every curve of their body and make them exactly as you want them. The customization is probably the best part of the game. Once in the game the amazingly designed environment will be the first thing to grab your eyes but then once you look past that the game play is very lacking. You will find combat is very boring and basic with few useful skills. There are many character interactions including embracing which stands out in this game but it still doesn't make up for the lacking rpg essentials. The worst part of Perfect World is once you finally reach level 20 and feel like you're progressing you better have a good faction to protect you because you become available to be PK'd. Overall, Perfect World has more eye candy than game play, it doesn't play as well as it looks but its still worth a try, being better than many of the other free mmorpg's that don't have flash or game play.
