EverQuest? More like ForeverQuest. Sony Online Entertainment will continue its support of the landmark massively multiplayer online role-playing game with EverQuest: Depths of Darkhollow. This latest expansion to EQ will be released sometime in September for $29.99.

Depths of Darkhollow will feature seven new zones to explore, populated with 30 unique creatures, including sporali, werewolves, and clockwork gnomes. There will also be 15 new, small in-game events, as well as a "re-envisioned" Nektulos Forest.

For the first time in EverQuest, gamers will also be able to play as creatures in the new monster missions. Also new are spirit shrouds, which let players both take the form of low-level beasts and journey with low-level players while gaining experience points for their original characters.

EverQuest: Depths of Darkhollow will be released as a digital download from the EverQuest Station Web site and as a boxed version in retail. The retail version will include postcards illustrated by Larry Elmore, in addition to a unique clockwork boar mount. For more information, check out the game's official Web site.
