Not worth more than one playthrough. Glitchy tutorials. Too easy once you get the gist of it.

User Rating: 6.5 | Patrician IV: Conquest by Trade PC
I was really hoping this game would have more to offer. When I first played it, I had lots of trouble figuring out what to do, since the initial tutorial is actually quite glitchy, sometimes not updating, other times updating the same message over and over. However, once you do get the hang of the game, particularly with trade routes, it becomes pretty easy pretty quick. Once you realise that all you need is to amass businesses and you become unstoppable, it gets boring. Considering that once you earn Patrician rank, there is not much more to the game, it isnt worth more than one play-through, which took me less than 10 hours in total.
The negatives aside, however, the game does get very addictive for the one or two plays you may give it. The graphics in town are nice, but can look quite dated in the world map view, with ship models looking well below today's par.
