Patapon Is an essential game for all PSP users both young and old. It also is a delightful game for those who are new to the PSP system and for those who are familiar with it. Patapon's are things that look like eyeballs with arms and legs. They are threatened by the Zigatons and it is your job as the Patapon god, to defeat the Zigatons and deliver them to see It at Earthend. Using a Variety of 4 button sequences you must command your army of Patapons to attack, defend, dodge, charge and/or advance in order to deafeat the evil Zigaton army. However it is not that simple.

In each level you are given a song that plays thru the entire level that you must find the beat to. Once you pinpoint the beat and you have your foot or head bobbing in time, you must push the button commands in time with the beat. The longer you go without getting off beat your streak level raises. Once it reaches a certain level, you enter fever mode. Fever mode boosts the level of your armys hit point making your army stronger. The longer you stay in fevr mode, the better your chance of defeating whatever it is you are trying to defeat, whether it be a sand worm, zigaton troop or an animal your are hunting.

Patapon has a beautifull scenery and a great soundtrack. It is an out of the ordinary game, kind of like Japanese games are, and the game is just so addictive. Patapon gives you beats that are most likely to get stuck in your head, making the game all the better. what i like most about the game is the fact that its replay value is suprisingly high. 10 out of 10!
